In Miami, a community decided that two elderly neighbors should not have to face a home in need of major repairs on their own.
Edward and Clara Knox, residents of Richmond Heights, received help from local businesses and volunteers who came together to improve their home. One company contributed approximately $15,000 in materials and plumbing work, while other volunteers helped with various repairs.
One of the most important improvements was the installation of a new roof, which has already passed its final inspection.
